Are you a Queensland Employer?

Under Queensland legislation all employers must appoint a Rehabilitation and Return to Work Co-ordinator if they;

  1. Employ workers in a high risk industry with wages in Queensland for the preceding financial year of $1.826 million; or
  2. If not in a high risk industry, wages more than $5.998 million
It is advised employers appoint a Rehabilitation and Return to Work Co-ordinator irrespective of the size of their business, to identify any vulnerability or shortfall in being able to proactively manage work related injuries. This will also ensure the organisation is meeting any legislative requirements.

Do you need a Rehabilitation and Return to Work Co-ordinator?

The role of a Rehabilitation and Return to Work Co-ordinator is to assist in the return to work of injured workers and co-ordinating return to work activities at the workplace. This role can now be outsourced to Proactive Management Consulting Pty Ltd, a registered external provider.
